"New" in box vintage item. This is a breathtaking wooden tray with a hand carved iris flower, from Japan's Showa-era. The wood has a lacquer varnish, which really brings it to life. The writing on the backside of the tray translates roughly to "Tenrikyo East Kamiura Church, temple completion commemoration, September 2, 1992".

The box is a beautiful retro design with textured paper; it has a fair amount of fading or marks, which can be seen in the photos. However, the tray itself is in pristine condition, considering the age. This is a really beautiful piece.

Weight ≈700g.

Box Length ≈25cm x Width ≈25cm.
Plate Diameter ≈14cm.

« Condition »
We sell vintage items. Many are "new" in box, but they are not in perfect condition due to time. Please read the listing and inspect all of the photos carefully to see the exact condition of the item.

« Item Source »
All items in this shop come directly from our two abandoned houses in Japan. These items were packed in boxes, and stored for a minimum of 40 years (the amount of time the house was abandoned), but many items were stored in the house for additional decades prior to being abandoned.

« Note about shipping »
Items will be shipped via Japan Post. I do my best to charge the accurate Japan Post rate, based on the item weight and the buyer's country.

« For buyers outside of Japan »
Packages might take 1-3 weeks to arrive, as the items have to go through your country's customs. Import duties, taxes, or other charges, are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what (if any) these additional costs might be prior to purchasing.
