Vintage item. This is a small coin purse, from Japan's Showa-era. The exterior fabric of the purse is a nice pattern of brown, blue, and white. While I know that Japan has traditionally made some things like this out of former kimono fabric, I do not know if this particular coin purse is made from kimono fabric, or not, so I can't say for certain. The interior fabric is a lovely maroon color with a velvet feel. The clasp is a dark colored metal.
The coin purse is in nice shape, considering the age, and appears to have been unused. It has been stored for decades inside this box, stuffed with tissue paper to hold its shape. The box is also in good condition, but there is some wear, as you can see from the detail photos. A paper booklet is also included.

All items in this shop come directly from our two abandoned houses in Japan. These items were packed in boxes, and stored for a minimum of 40 years (the amount of time the house was abandoned), but many items were stored in the house for additional decades prior to being abandoned.
