Vintage item. This is a single ceramic pillow! In Japanese, it's called a 'fukutoku' and is considered to be used for health reasons.
The ceramic has a smooth glossy glaze, featuring a traditional blue and white design. On the top of the pillow there are 7 small holes. Each side of the pillow has two larger holes. And the bottom of the pillow has two plastic inserts, which can be filled with a scent to emit through the holes while you sleep.
The piece really is in perfect condition, considering the age. The only part showing minor wear is on the semi-raw surface of the bottom of the ceramic pillow; there is some minor discoloration, as seen in the photos.
