Benton Homestead Pure Honey » Ōmishima Island, Japan
Benton Homestead Pure Honey » Ōmishima Island, Japan
Jars of all-natural pure honey from Ōmishima island.
« Sizes »
We have four sizes available:
140g, 280g, 560g, and 1000g.
« Harvests »
We have two harvests available:
Citrus Honey, from spring 2024. Ōmishima island has countless citrus varieties, combining to create a wonderful flavor. The nectar extracted from citrus blossoms creates a honey that is light in color and very sweet, with a subtle citrus taste.
Mixed-Flower Honey, from summer 2024. Nectar collected in the summer on Ōmishima island comes from various flower sources, and the flowering tree 'akamegashiwa'. This honey is also light in color, with a delicate flavor.
« Stock »
Not all sizes will be available at all times. Since our honey harvests are from a specific season of the year, there's limited supply available.
« Honey Source »
All of our honey comes from our very own honeybees on Ōmishima island, in Imabari, Ehime, Japan. We raise the honeybees, harvest, and process the honey ourselves.
« Container »
Our honey is sold in glass jars with metal lids. The sticker on top specifies the volume of honey, with a "best by" date of one year after the harvest date.
« Note about shipping »
Items will be shipped via Japan Post. I do my best to charge the accurate Japan Post rate, based on the buyer's prefecture.
« For buyers outside of Japan »
I'm sorry, but we are not (yet) shipping honey products outside of Japan.
« Payment »
Payment only available through this Shopify shopping cart. If you would prefer to pay via Japanese Bank Transfer, please send me a message to place your order!
« Thank You »
All of our sales go directly towards maintaining and improving our small family business in rural Japan: Benton Homestead. We're revitalizing abandoned farm and forest land to grow our honeybee and vegetable farm. We also restored a former 'akiya' abandoned house into Benton Guesthouse, our retro Shōwa-era vacation home rental.
« Visit Us »
